The Practice
Architecture as a disciplined act.
YHDA was established with a single conviction: that architecture is most powerful when it is most restrained. As a hands-on boutique practice, we prioritize deep personal involvement over high-volume output. Our scale allows our founding principals to actively direct every project—from initial concept and authority submissions through to site supervision and final handover.
Combining design-and-build experience with rigorous project execution, we deliver refined detailing, buildability, and practical cost control without ever compromising on quality or oversight.

History
Founded in 2020 amid the pandemic, our practice began in commercial interior design-and-build before expanding into bespoke residential bungalows, institutional projects, and mixed-use commercial developments. Driven by a commitment to innovative typology, we craft meaningful, purposeful architectural artifacts tailored precisely to our clients' vision, functional needs, and budget
Over the years, YHDA has built a body of work spanning private residences, cultural institutions, commercial development and office interiors. Each project is treated as a singular resolution, never a type.
Approach
We do not begin with form. We begin with questions.
Site
01
Every project begins with an extended reading of the site — its light, its grain, its relationship to the city or landscape around it. We do not impose; we respond.
Material
02
We work with a limited palette of materials, chosen for their honesty and their capacity to age well. Concrete, timber, stone, and glass — used with precision and without decoration.
Programme
03
We interrogate the brief. Often the most important design decisions are made before a line is drawn — in the careful negotiation of what a building is actually for.
Detail
04
Architecture lives in its details. We draw every junction, every threshold, every transition between materials. Nothing is left to chance or to the contractor's discretion.
